Cannot output to HDMI devices, or output image quality is low

Is the HDMI device correctly connected?
Due to the similar shape and size of the HDMI and USB connectors, the HDMI cable may be accidentally inserted into the USB connector. Ensure the cable is correctly inserted into the HDMI connector.
Is the HDMI output resolution set to “Auto”?
If the output resolution or scan format (interlaced/progressive) of the HDMI-compatible device does not match that of the camera, images may not be output or may appear distorted. Select [Auto] for [HDMI] > [Output resolution] in the setup menu.
Is the connected device compatible with RAW video output?

When RAW video is being output via the camera’s HDMI connector, connecting a device that is not compatible with RAW video may cause the display on the TV or external monitor to appear in monochrome or indicate no input signal.

  • Use a device compatible with RAW video output.
  • To end RAW video output, select a file type other than RAW video for [Video file type] in the video recording menu, or select [Disable] for [HDMI] > [RAW output options] * > [RAW output] in the setup menu.

Available only after the paid setup service for supported cameras.
