Output to HDMI devices does not function as expected

Is the HDMI device correctly connected?

Due to the similar shape and size of the HDMI and USB connectors, the HDMI cable may be accidentally inserted into the USB connector. Ensure the cable is correctly inserted into the HDMI connector.

Is [ON] selected for [External rec. cntrl (HDMI)]?

Videos may not display correctly when viewed with [ON] selected for [External rec. cntrl (HDMI)] in the video recording menu.

Try restoring default settings.

Pictures may display correctly if the default settings are restored using the [Reset all settings] item in the setup menu.

Viewing pictures taken with the [HLG] tone mode?
