Principle functions of the controls

	For playback Move toward () to zoom in on the image, and move toward () to display images as thumbnails or the calendar. Playback zoom Thumbnail playback/calendar display Adjust the volume for movie playback.
(snap-back zoom) button	For shooting Widen the angle of view temporarily. Using the snap-back zoom (temporarily widening the visible range)

Side dial	For shooting When the focus-mode selector is set to : Change the setting that is selected in [Assign side dial].* When the focus-mode selector is set to : Adjust the focus manually. This function is not available with some shooting modes. Assign side dial

	For setting Select an item using or by rotating the multi selector, and then apply the selection by pressing the button.
(apply selection) button	For playback Display individual images of a sequence in full-frame playback mode. Viewing and deleting images in a sequence Scroll an image shot with easy panorama. Play back movies. Switch from thumbnail playback or zoomed image display to full-frame playback.
