Fn1/Fn2/Fn3 buttons
During shooting or playback, you can quickly access selected settings by pressing the Fn1 (1), Fn2 (2), or Fn3 (3) button.
- By default, the Fn1 button is for exposure compensation (Exposure compensation), the Fn2 button is for shooting mode options (Choosing a shooting mode), and the Fn3 button is for cycling the live view info display (Choosing a display).
- Depending on the assigned function, the assigned setting can be adjusted by holding the Fn1, Fn2, or Fn3 button and rotating a command dial. In some cases, adjustments can be made using both the main and sub-command dials.
- The roles played by these and other controls can be chosen in the Custom Settings menu. Controls can be assigned a variety of different roles for still photography (f2: Custom controls (shooting)), video recording (g2: Custom controls), and playback (f3: Custom controls (playback)).
Holding a control and rotating a command dial
On this camera, Custom Setting f7 [Release button to use dial] is set to [ON] by default. Depending on the assigned function, when making adjustments that are normally made by holding a control and rotating a command dial, the command dial will remain enabled even after the control is released.
