Power zoom and Hi-Res Zoom can be performed with a single operation during video recording when this option is set to anything other than [Off].
- This option is enabled when a lens that supports this function is mounted and Hi-Res Zoom is available. This function is enabled with the following lens (as of May 2025).

- Power zoom/Hi-Res Zoom collaborative zooming can be performed with the following operations.
- Rotate the zoom ring of the power zoom lens, or slide the zoom lever.
- Press the camera’s multi selector left or right.
- Select [Hi-Res Zoom] or [Power zoom] for [Zoom control] in Custom Setting g2 [Custom controls], and move the camera's zoom control.
- Press the controls to which [Power zoom +] and [Power zoom −] have been assigned via Custom Setting g2 [Custom controls].
- Press the controls to which [Hi-Res Zoom +] and [Hi-Res Zoom −] have been assigned via Custom Setting g2 [Custom controls].
- Select [Power zoom] or [Hi-Res Zoom] for Custom Setting g3 [Customize touch controls] > [Touch control guide], and tap the touch control guide on the shooting display.
- Select [ON] for Custom Setting g9 [Assign power zoom] > [Use q/r buttons], and press the X (+) and W (−) buttons of the compatible accessory.

Cautions: Power/Hi-Res Zoom collab
- Even if [Hi-Res Zoom] is assigned to [Lens control ring] in Custom Setting g2 [Custom controls] during Power/Hi-Res Zoom collab, zooming cannot be performed using the lens control ring.
- Zoom speed during Power/Hi-Res Zoom collab can be set in Custom Setting g9 [Assign power zoom] > [Power zoom speed (zoom buttons)] and [Power zoom speed (zoom switch)].
- The option chosen for Custom Setting g8 [Hi-Res Zoom speed] will not apply.
- Zoom speed settings may not apply depending on the lens used.
- Power zoom may operate when [On (synch)] is selected in Custom Setting g10 [Power/Hi-Res Zoom collab], but this does not indicate a malfunction.
- The appearance when Custom Setting g10 [Power/Hi-Res Zoom collab] is set to [On (synch)] may differ from when set to normal optical zoom even at the same focal length. This is because the effects of Hi-Res Zoom are included. When this happens, an asterisk (U) is displayed with the focal length on the shooting display.
