Built-in microphone options

Configure the settings for the OZO Audio function of the built-in microphone. Using OZO Audio allows you to set the audio directivity (direction of sound collection) of the built-in microphone. Select from five sound collection directions to suit the range in which you want to collect sound, including [Stereo (binaural)], which can record three-dimensional, immersive audio.

• OZO Audio uses Nokia technology.
• [Built-in microphone options] can be selected when the following combinations of [Video file type] and [Frame size/frame rate] are selected in the video recording menu.

• When [Built-in microphone options] is unavailable, audio recording will be in the normal stereo format.

Audio control (OZO Audio)

Select [ON] to record audio with the built-in microphone using OZO Audio. When [OFF] is selected, audio recording will be in the normal stereo format.

Audio directivity

Select the direction of audio collection of the built-in microphone for using OZO Audio.

Option	Directionality	Description
[Front (Super directional)]		Sound in front of the camera is captured and enhanced at a high volume. This setting is suitable for emphasizing the audio of a narration or interview in self-portrait mode, or for recording the audio of distant subjects. [Front (Super directional)] enhances and captures sound within a narrower range than [Front]. [Front (Super directional)] captures sound from the same source at a higher volume than [Front]. The captured audio is recorded at the same volume on the left (1) and right (2) channels.
[Front]
[All directions]		Captures sound all around the camera in 360° (front, back, left, and right). This setting is suitable for capturing the photographer’s narration while also recording audio of the subject. The captured audio is recorded at the same volume on the left (1) and right (2) channels.
[Rear]		Sound from behind the camera is captured and enhanced at a high volume. This setting is suitable for emphasizing narration from the photographer. The captured audio is recorded at the same volume on the left (1) and right (2) channels.
[Stereo (binaural)]		Records sound all around the camera in 360° using 3D audio technology. This allows for an immersive stereo experience when using headphones during playback. This setting is suitable for capturing the ambient sounds that create the ambiance of the shooting location. The captured audio is recorded divided between the left (1) and right (2) channels based on the location of sounds in relation to the camera.

Self-portrait mode oriented

When [Front] is selected, the audio directivity will be automatically set to [Front] in self-portrait mode.
