f12: Assign power zoom

  1. A button (press and hold)
  2. A Custom Settings menu

Choose options such as the zooming speed for still photography when a power zoom lens is attached.

[Use q/r buttons]Selecting [ON] allows zooming to be performed by pressing buttons on the following accessories.
  • MC-N10 Remote Grip (X button and W button)
  • ML-L7 Remote Control (＋ button and － button)
[Power zoom speed (zoom buttons)]Set the zooming speed when using buttons. The speed settings are enabled when using the following buttons.
  • Buttons to which [Power zoom +] and [Power zoom −] have been assigned via Custom Setting f2 [Custom controls (shooting)].
  • MC-N10 Remote Grip: X button and W button
  • ML-L7 Remote Control: ＋ button and － button
[Power zoom speed (zoom switch)]Set the zooming speed when using the camera zoom control or lens zoom lever. The speed settings are enabled under the following circumstances.
  • Camera: When [Power zoom] has been assigned to [Zoom control] via Custom Setting f2 [Custom controls (shooting)].
  • Lens: When a compatible power zoom lens with a zoom lever is attached. This function is enabled with the following lens (as of May 2025).
