When shooting in high-speed frame capture + or continuous high-speed (extended) mode, the shooting display will not go dark during shutter release as it does in other release modes. Here you can adjust settings on how the display responds when the shutter is released in the high-speed frame capture + and continuous high-speed (extended) modes.

Description
[Indicator type]
Choose how the display responds when the shutter is released.
[Type A]: The display goes dark when the shutter is released. This makes it easier to track the subject during panning shots.
[Type B]: Borders appear at the top, bottom, and sides of the frame when the shutter is released.
[Type C]: Borders appear at the sides of the frame when the shutter is released.
[Off]: A release timing indicator is not displayed when the shutter is released.
Note that regardless of the option selected, release timing indicators are not displayed at slow shutter speeds.
[Type A auto restore delay]
In continuous high-speed (extended) mode, choose the shutter speed at which the camera switches to [Type A] when an option other than [Type A] is selected for [Indicator type].
This option takes effect in modes S and M.
When pictures are taken at shutter speeds at or below the value chosen for [Type A auto restore delay], the display will go dark to indicate that the shutter has been released.
The [Type A] display makes it easier to track the subject during panning shots.
