Reduce haze to record sharp images in hazy, whitish, and low-contrast scenes.

  • Dehaze processing is performed after the photo is taken. During processing, [Dehazing] will appear in the shooting display. Pictures cannot be taken until the message has cleared from the display.
OptionDescription
[Dehaze mode]
  • [On (series)]: Takes a series of photos using the dehaze effect. To end dehaze photography, select [Dehaze mode] again and choose [Off].
  • [On (single photo)]: End dehaze photography after recording a single dehaze photograph.
  • [Off]: End dehaze photography.
[Dehaze strength]The strength of the dehaze effect can be set from [1] to [9].

Cautions: Dehaze

  • The dehaze effect is not applied to the image on the shooting display.
  • Depending on the combination of shooting conditions and [Dehaze strength], the dehaze effect may be ineffective or noise (randomly-spaced bright pixels, fog, or lines) may appear. When this happens, change [Dehaze strength] and take the photo again.
  • In continuous release modes, only one photograph will be taken each time the shutter-release/REC button is pressed all the way down.
  • In self-timer mode, pressing the shutter-release/REC button all the way down will take one photograph regardless of the option selected for Custom Setting c2 [Self-timer] > [Number of shots].
