Reduce haze to record sharp images in hazy, whitish, and low-contrast scenes.
- Dehaze processing is performed after the photo is taken. During processing, [Dehazing] will appear in the shooting display. Pictures cannot be taken until the message has cleared from the display.

Cautions: Dehaze
- The dehaze effect is not applied to the image on the shooting display.
- Depending on the combination of shooting conditions and [Dehaze strength], the dehaze effect may be ineffective or noise (randomly-spaced bright pixels, fog, or lines) may appear. When this happens, change [Dehaze strength] and take the photo again.
- In continuous release modes, only one photograph will be taken each time the shutter-release/REC button is pressed all the way down.
- In self-timer mode, pressing the shutter-release/REC button all the way down will take one photograph regardless of the option selected for Custom Setting c2 [Self-timer] > [Number of shots].
Dehaze: Restrictions
Dehaze cannot be combined with some camera features, including:
- high-speed frame capture +,
- Active D-Lighting,
- bracketing,
- HDR overlay,
- multiple exposures,
- interval-timer photography,
- time-lapse video recording,
- focus shift, and
- pixel shift.
