Troubleshooting wireless LAN connection

Problems and solutions

Solutions to some common issues are listed below.

  • The camera displays a wireless error.
  • The camera displays a TCP/IP error.
  • The camera displays an FTP error.
Connection settings require adjustment. Check settings for the wireless router, FTP server, or host computer and adjust camera settings appropriately (Computers: Connecting via wireless LAN, FTP servers: Connecting via wireless LAN).
Check the error code, if any. For more information, see “Error codes” (Error codes).
“Connecting to computer” does not clear from the camera display.Check firewall settings (Firewall settings, Firewall settings).
The camera displays a “no memory card” error.Memory card not inserted or inserted incorrectly. Confirm that the memory card is correctly inserted (Inserting the battery and a memory card).
Upload is interrupted and fails to resume.Upload will resume if the camera is turned off and then on again (Loss of signal).
The connection is unreliableIf the camera is connected in Wi-Fi station mode, check that the router is set to a channel between 1 and 8 (Connect to computer, Connect to FTP server).

Error codes

The following messages and error codes may be displayed if an error occurs while the camera is connected to an FTP server.

Err.22Duplicate TCP/IP address. Choose a different address (Connect to FTP server).
