Choosing a Release Mode
To choose how the shutter is released (release mode), press the s (E) button, then use the multi selector to highlight the desired option and press J.

| Mode | Description |

| 8 | Single frame: Camera takes one photograph each time shutter-release button is pressed. |
| s | Continuous: The camera takes photographs while the shutter-release button is pressed (0 Continuous Shooting (Burst Mode)). |
| J | Quiet shutter release: As for single-frame, except that camera noise is reduced (0 Quiet Shutter Release). |
| E | Self-timer: Take pictures with the self-timer (0 Self-Timer Mode). |
