New Options for Custom Settings f2 “Custom Controls (Shooting)” and g2 “Custom Controls

Additional roles are now available for Custom Settings f2 [Custom controls (shooting)] and g2 [Custom controls].

New Roles Available via Custom Settings f2 “Custom Controls (Shooting)” and g2 “Custom Controls

Option Description
X [Focus limiter] Press the control to toggle between [ON] and [OFF] for Custom Setting a15 [Focus limiter setting] > [Focus limiter]. Hold the control to jump to the [Limit range] settings display (0 New Custom Setting: a15 “Focus Limiter Setting).
M [Cycle monitor mode] Press the control to cycle through the monitor modes.
G [Film grain] Press the control and rotate a command dial to toggle between [ON] and [OFF] for [Film grain options] > [Film grain] in the photo shooting or video recording menu (0 New Menu Item: “Film Grain Options).

Exposure Compensation and ISO Sensitivity Are Now Assignable to Command Dials in Mode M

Exposure compensation (E) and ISO sensitivity (S) for video recording can now be assigned to the command dials in mode M using Custom Setting g2 [Custom controls] > [Command dials] > [Exposure setting].

  • To set main and sub-command dial roles, select mode M in the [Exposure setting] dialog and press DISP.
  • Press 4 or 2 to highlight a command dial and 1 or 3 to select roles.
  • Use the command dials to adjust the exposure compensation or ISO sensitivity settings when either function is assigned to a control and the exposure compensation or ISO sensitivity dial is set to C.
  • If you assigned roles other than aperture to the command dials, use touch controls to adjust aperture.
