Problems and Solutions

Solutions to some common issues are listed below.

Problem

  • The camera displays a wireless error.

  • The camera displays a TCP/IP error.

  • The camera displays an FTP error.

Connection settings require adjustment. Check settings for the wireless router, FTP server, or host computer and adjust camera settings appropriately (Wireless LAN, Wireless LAN).

Check the error code, if any. For more information, see “Error Codes” (Error Codes).

“Connecting to computer” does not clear from the camera display.

Check firewall settings (Firewall Settings, Firewall Settings).

The camera displays the message, “Ethernet cable is not connected”.

Connect an Ethernet cable or select [OFF] for [Wired LAN] (Ethernet Connections, Ethernet, Wired LAN).

The camera displays a “no memory card” error.

The memory card is inserted incorrectly or not at all. Check that card is inserted correctly (Inserting Memory Cards).

Upload is interrupted and fails to resume.

Upload will resume if the camera is turned off and then on again (Loss of Signal).

The connection is unreliable.

If the camera is connected in infrastructure mode, check that the router is set to a channel between 1 and 8 (Connect to Computer, Connect to FTP Server).
