Problems and Solutions

Solutions to some common issues are listed below.

Problem

Solution

  • The camera displays a wireless error.

  • The camera displays a TCP/IP error.

  • The camera displays an ftp error.

Connection settings require adjustment. Check settings for the wireless router, ftp server, or host computer and adjust camera settings appropriately ( Creating a Network Profile (Ethernet) , Creating Network Profiles (WT-6) ).

Check the error code. For more information, see “Error Codes” (Error Codes).

“Connecting to PC” does not clear from the camera display.

Check firewall settings (Firewall Settings).

The camera displays the message, “Ethernet cable is not connected”.

Connect an Ethernet cable or select [Wireless LAN] for [Choose hardware] ( Connecting an Ethernet Cable , Attaching the WT-6 ).

The camera displays a “no memory card” error.

The memory card is inserted incorrectly or not at all. Confirm that the memory card is correctly inserted ( Inserting Memory Cards ).

Upload is interrupted and fails to resume.

Upload will resume if the camera is turned off and then on again (Loss of Signal).

No connection is established when the camera URL is entered in a web browser in http server mode.

Confirm that the browser is not using a proxy connection.

The following messages and error codes may be displayed if an error occurs while the camera is connected via Ethernet or using a WT-6.
