More Time for Pre-Release Capture

The length of time the camera will continue to buffer frames before cancelling shooting during the Pre-Release Capture phase of high-speed frame capture + has been increased from 30 to 300 seconds.

  • If an option other than [None] is selected for Custom Setting d4 [Pre-Release Capture options] > [Pre-release burst], a green dot (I) will appear in the Y icon in the shooting display when the shutter-release button is pressed halfway. If the shutter-release button is not pressed the rest of the way down before about 300 seconds have passed, the I will change to C and Pre-Release Capture will be cancelled. A pre-release burst will not be recorded if the shutter-release button is pressed all the way down when C is displayed.
  • Depending on camera settings, Pre-Release Capture may be cancelled before 300 seconds have passed.
  • The Y icon will start to flash about 30 seconds before Pre-Release Capture is cancelled.
