Troubleshooting Wireless LAN Connections

Refer to this section for solutions to errors that occur during wireless LAN connections.

Problem Solution
  • The camera displays a wireless error.
  • The camera displays a TCP/IP error.
  • The camera displays an FTP error.
Connection settings require adjustment. Check settings for the wireless router, FTP server, or host computer and adjust camera settings appropriately (0Computers: Connecting via Wireless LAN, FTP Servers: Connecting via Wireless LAN).
Confirm that the SSID network's radio frequency band matches the band selected in [Router frequency band] in the network menu (0Router frequency band).
Check the error code, if any. For more information, see "Error Codes Displayed When Connecting to an FTP via Wireless LAN" (0Error Codes Displayed When Connecting to an FTP via Wireless LAN).
“Connecting to computer” does not clear from the camera display. Check firewall settings (0Firewall Settings, Firewall Settings).
The camera displays a “no memory card” error. The memory card is inserted incorrectly or not at all. Check that card is inserted correctly (0Inserting Memory Cards).
Upload is interrupted and fails to resume. Upload will resume if the camera is turned off and then on again (0Loss of Signal, Loss of Signal).
The connection is unreliable. If the camera is connected in Wi-Fi station mode, check that the router is set to a channel between 1 and 8 (0Connect to computer, Connect to FTP server).
